Every MDIT personal computer follows a 5-step quality-controlled assembly and testing process at our Accra facility.
We source high-grade components directly from ISO-certified tier-1 suppliers — including Intel/AMD processors, Kingston/Samsung DDR memory modules, NVMe solid state drives, and high-brightness IPS display panels. Every shipment undergoes incoming inspection for electrical integrity and physical damage before entering assembly stock.
In our electrostatic-discharge (ESD) protected assembly line, technicians and student trainees carefully assemble each unit. Motherboard installation, thermal paste application, cooling fan mounting, battery connection, keyboard routing, and chassis enclosure are performed following standardized assembly SOPs.
Before sealing, each laptop undergoes 12 diagnostic checks: MemTest86 for RAM stability, Prime95 thermal stress test, NVMe SSD speed benchmark, screen dead-pixel analysis, keyboard key press test, trackpad multi-gesture check, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth signal strength, audio speaker balance, and 100% battery charging/discharging cycle testing.
Upon passing QC, every unit receives an engraved serial number and QR identity label formatted as LAP-YYYY-XXXX-000. This code ties the laptop directly to its lifecycle history in our public tracker system — recording build date, component specs, and test results.
Finished laptops are packaged with protective eco-friendly padding, regional charger, and user documentation. Units are dispatched to partner universities and institutional recipients through scheduled distribution events.
